Announcing the opening of Deer Park Nursing Home, Holsworthy
We are delighted to announce the opening of our fifth specialist care home, Deer Park Nursing Home in Holsworthy, Devon, where we expect to welcome our first residents in the next few weeks.
An open day will take place on Monday, 13th October 2025, from 11 am to 4 pm, giving members of the public the chance to look around the new service, with the mayor of Holsworthy, Cllr Jon Hutchings, officially opening the home at 11 am.
Located on Rydon Road in private grounds of approximately 1.8 acres, Deer Park Nursing Home will ultimately be able to accommodate 50 residents in individual bedrooms, each with its own wet room.
Camelot Care acquired the purpose-built property, previously Deer Park Care Home, in September 2024, and we have spent the past 10 months refurbishing it inside and out.
We are really proud of the bright, modern and calming interior, all carefully considered, using extensively researched NHS design principles for achieving dementia friendly environments.
Our team of staff have been carefully selected for their sincerity and motivation, and the combination of a stimulating and pleasing environment together with the staff’s empathetic qualities promises to truly enhance our residents’ emotional wellbeing, leading to better care outcomes.
With decades of experience behind us, we understand how to support our residents with dementia to live their best lives, welcoming the involvement of family and friends whenever possible, and we’re excited about bringing much-needed nursing and residential dementia care to the local community.
