Ukulele band delights residents at Deer Park
We were thrilled to welcome back Bude-based ukulele band All@C to Deer Park by popular request, bringing a performance that “put a smile on everyone’s face.”
The much-loved community group are firm favourites with residents, staff, and visiting families alike, and a regular highlight on our activities calendar.
“All@C have this brilliant way of connecting with people,” said Deer Park activities coordinator Alyce Barber. “They create such a happy atmosphere – it’s wonderful.
Music is very good for people living with dementia and really supports wellbeing. People were up dancing; others were singing along – the whole room was joining in.”
The group played a mix of upbeat classics and singalong favourites, with band leader Paul Provins keeping everyone entertained with his light-hearted chat.
Founded in 2016 by a small group of beginners, All@C has grown to nearly 40 members and also supports South West Air Ambulance through donations collected at gigs.
