Butterfly Lodge Special Commendation In Dementia Care Award
Butterfly Lodge received a special commendation as runner-up in the ‘dementia care’ award at the South West Care Awards. Our multi award-winning nursing home has been recognised for supporting individuals living with dementia through compassionate, innovative, and person-centred approaches.
The South West Care Awards, which took place on Friday 16th October, are a celebration of excellence across the care sector in the region and honour the individuals, teams and organisations who go above and beyond every day to support others and make a lasting difference in their communities.
Sarah McCaffrey, Deputy Manager at Butterfly Lodge, said: “We’re delighted to receiove this commendation as runners-up in the South West Care Awards!

Butterfly Lodge is already an award-winning care home. At the ‘Celebrating Excellence in Care Awards’ organised annually by Plymouth City Council, the home has scooped multiple awards including – in 2024 and 2025 alone – Excellence in Dementia Care, Manager and Deputy Manager of the Year, the People’s Choice Award, Culinary Team of the Year and Team of the Year Award.
