ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A JOB WHERE YOU’LL REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO PEOPLE’S LIVES?

Avalon Nursing Home in Bridgwater is holding an open day to give people the chance to find out more about the way we care for older people living with dementia. We are looking to expand the team at this specialist dementia care home which cares for up to 55 adults living with dementia.

Why join the team at Avalon?

  • Become part of a successful, caring, forward-thinking team
  • Opportunities to gain qualifications (NVQs)
  • Company pension scheme
  • Flexible working hours – full-time or part-time

Previous experience is not required, what matters most is a caring and compassionate approach and a willingness to learn. If this sounds like you and you’re considering a return to work, or a change of job or career direction, the open day will give you a chance to find out more. Various caring roles are available for positive and reliable applicants.

Avalon’s manager, Sarah Patten, explains why a career in care is such a genuinely rewarding job: “Your life experience is valued. No matter what you’ve done previously there will be some way for the knowledge and skills you’ve accumulated to be translated in a way that’s useful for the people you support.

“Why settle for something you don’t find rewarding, when there are more fulfilling alternatives available?”

To find out more, come to our drop-in information day at the home on 27 November 2019, from 9.30am to 4.30pm. You’ll be able to meet our friendly team and find out from them what it is like to have a career in care.

We are particularly interested to meet you if you are a Registered General Nurse, a Registered Mental Health Nurse or a Healthcare Assistant – whether looking for full-time or part-time work. We’re also keen to recruit more volunteer helpers.

Make a difference. Join Avalon Nursing Home.
