CONGRATULATIONS TO JOANNE

Colleagues at Freshfields were delighted to have cause to congratulate healthcare assistant Joanne Mason recently on successfully completing her NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Joanne, who has been a valued member of the team at our Plymouth service since 2003, has completed her St Luke’s ‘Six Steps to End of Life Care’ at the same time as working on her NVQ, impressing colleagues with her hard work and dedication.

Service manager Mattie Johnstone said: “I’m keen to pay tribute to Joanne for all the hard work she’s put into her studies, all the while continuing to deliver exemplary service to our residents.

“The smile she’s wearing in the photo says it all, and the whole team at Freshfields – as well as other Camelot Care colleagues – are so delighted for her.”

Joanne spent 18 months years studying for her qualification with City College Plymouth and the city’s St Luke’s hospice.

The course included units on human lifespan development, anatomy and physiology, current research in health and social care, meeting individual care and support needs, and principles of safe practice.
