New Dementia Unit at Camelot House
Camelot Care is excited to announce commencement of a new 28 bedded Dementia Unit to adjoin to the successful Camelot House site. Comprising the same high standards as the House, Camelot Lodge will provide Nursing care to dementia residents from July 2014. WATCH THIS SPACE!!!
Beacon Status Awarded
The home was awarded Beacon status (the highest of the three levels awarded) for the Gold Standard Framework in end of life care.
Workforce Development Fundraising
In September 2012 the home secured £25,000 of Workforce Development Funding for staff to take courses in Dementia Care, End of Life Care and Activities for People with Dementia. ‘This funding helped 30 staff gain Level 2&3 in Dementia Care’.
