CONGRATULATING CAMELOT HOUSE & LODGE AND AVALON

We couldn’t be prouder of Camelot House & Lodge, who were accredited for the fifth time (achieving full marks for the third time in a row) and Avalon, who were accredited for the second time (also achieving full marks) at the GSF’s annual awards ceremony, an event which celebrates the UK’s most outstanding palliative health and social care providers.

Julie Armstrong-Wilson, chief operating officer for GSF, said: “The quality of care and the compassionate cultures we have seen is truly inspiring, reflecting a deep commitment to ensuring people receive the right care at the right time, making a real difference to them and their families.

“Our award winners are leading the way in demonstrating what good end-of-life care looks like.”

GSF stands for the ‘Gold Standards Framework’ and provides evidence-based training to improve end-of-life care. Full details are available at: www.goldstandardsframework.org.uk.

Very well done Team CHL and Team Avalon – this repeated recognition for the exemplary end-of-life care given to residents at your homes is really wonderful, and provides such reassurance for families and loved ones.
