GARDEN CENTRE IS A “GREAT NEIGHBOUR”

Regular visits by residents and staff at Camelot House and Lodge to nearby Blackdown Garden Centre have cemented relations between the two and are a “great example” of how to be good neighbours.

Harriet Burraston, activities team leader at Camelot House and Lodge, is full of praise for the warm welcome they always receive when they visit.

“The garden centre is just across the road from us,” said Harriet, “and they’re always so lovely to our residents when we visit.

“Our ladies and gents love looking at all the beautiful flowers, the tropical fish are great for sensory stimulation and of course no trip is complete without a trip to the cafe for lunch or one of their amazing cakes.

“The staff at Blackdown Garden Centre are really very generous neighbours who have previously donated Christmas trees, as well as gift cards for raffles and fetes, for which we are very grateful.

“It’s wonderful to have such support from a local business!”
