When you love dancing as much as Camelot House resident Sandy Daniels, it would be a shame to miss any opportunity for a party, so her 60th birthday on 21 December was marked in style.

Entertainer Tony B dressed for the season as Santa Claus, serenading the birthday girl with one of her favourite songs, Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond, and then led a party sing-along with plenty of opportunity for dancing.

Activities co-ordinator Richard Dempslake said: “Sandy is one of our youngest residents at the home.

“She’s always upbeat and enjoys joining in all our activities, so it’s a real privilege to help her celebrate this significant birthday.

Pictures of Sandy enjoying the 18 months she has spent at Camelot House adorned the walls of the lounge, as well as the pages of a memory book created for her by activities assistant Carol featuring lovely photos of many big events in Sandy’s life.

A homemade birthday cake was baked by kitchen assistant Niluh, while chef Chris put together a lovely mini buffet for Sandy and her family.
