It may have felt like one of the wettest Junes on record, but that hasn’t dampened spirits at Camelot House and Lodge where six residents all celebrated their birthdays in the same week: Sheila Richens was 85 and Susan Lister 75 on 10 June, Jacky Totterdell was 69 on 12 June, Sally West was 75 on 13 June, and Mary Griffiths was 92 and Philip Bowden 76 on 14 June.

As their birthdays were so close together the ladies were each treated to a pamper session from beauty therapist, Debbie Stevens of Rosewood Beauty in Wellington. They thoroughly enjoyed a luxurious hand and arm massage, and a manicure with their choice of varnish.

Phil, the only gentlemen of the ‘birthday week,’ happens to be a whiz at general knowledge so he and the other residents had a little general knowledge quiz, with nibbles and drinks for all and a nice cool lager shandy for the birthday boy.

As always, each of our birthday residents received a lovely personal home-made cake from Camelot Care’s kitchen assistant and birthday cake supremo Niluh Chapman.
